# THE BROKEN HILL BRIDGE **Animated Children’s Adventure** **Approximate runtime: 1 minute 40 seconds** **FADE IN:** ### EXT. GREEN VALLEY PLAYGROUND – DAY Bright sunlight washes over a lush valley surrounded by rolling hills. Butterflies drift above wildflowers. **ARJUN**, a confident 10-year-old boy, balances along a fallen log. In the distance, **RIYA**, 9, and **KABIR**, 8, race down the hillside toward him. Riya waves both arms. **RIYA** Arjun! Come quickly! Kabir stops beside her, breathless. **KABIR** The bridge near the hill has broken! Arjun jumps down from the log. **ARJUN** Is anyone hurt? **RIYA** A baby goat is trapped across the stream. Arjun immediately runs with them. ### EXT. HILL STREAM – MOMENTS LATER A fast-moving stream cuts through the green valley. The small wooden bridge has collapsed. Broken planks hang above the water. On the opposite bank, a frightened BABY MOUNTAIN GOAT stands on a narrow patch of grass. It BLEATS nervously. **KABIR** We tried calling it, but it’s too scared to jump. Arjun kneels beside the broken bridge and studies it. He presses one loose plank. It shifts dangerously. **ARJUN** We can’t use these boards. They’re too weak. The baby goat steps closer to the water. A stone slips beneath its hoof and splashes into the stream. **RIYA** We have to hurry! Arjun scans the valley. His eyes stop on several long BAMBOO POLES lying beside a recently fallen bamboo cluster. He smiles. **ARJUN** We’ll build a new crossing. Arjun points to the bamboo. **ARJUN (CONT'D)** Kabir, bring the long poles. Riya, collect those strong vines. The children spring into action. ### EXT. HILL STREAM – CONTINUOUS Kabir drags two bamboo poles toward the stream. Riya gathers thick vines from the ground. Arjun places the bamboo poles side by side across the narrowest part of the stream. The current pushes against them. **ARJUN** Hold them steady! Kabir grips one end while Riya holds the other. Arjun loops the vines around the bamboo and secures them to rocks on both banks. He presses down carefully. The temporary bridge holds. Arjun steps onto it and slowly crosses halfway. He crouches and extends his hand toward the baby goat. **ARJUN** Easy, little one. You’re safe. The goat hesitates. Riya picks a handful of fresh leaves and holds them out from the other bank. **RIYA** Come on! We have something for you! The baby goat takes one cautious step onto the bamboo. Then another. The bamboo bends slightly, but the vines hold firm. Kabir watches nervously. **KABIR** Just a little farther! The goat trots across the final section and leaps safely beside them. The children CHEER. The goat happily eats the leaves from Riya’s hand. ### EXT. REPAIRED HILL CROSSING – MOMENTS LATER Arjun adds one of the unbroken wooden planks over the bamboo, making the crossing wider and safer. The three children stand together on the repaired crossing. The baby goat stands proudly between them as the stream sparkles below. Across the valley, an adult goat CALLS. The baby goat answers and runs toward it. Arjun, Riya and Kabir wave. **KABIR** We saved it! **ARJUN** Because we worked together. The children exchange proud smiles. **WIDE SHOT:** The repaired crossing stretches across the stream as the children and goats continue along the green valley. **FADE OUT.** **THE END**

# THE EQUAL PICNIC **FADE IN:** ### EXT. PARK – SUNNY AFTERNOON A colourful picnic blanket lies beneath a large tree. Four children — **MAYA**, **ARUN**, **LEELA**, and **DEV** — sit around a basket containing **eight fruit pieces**: four apple slices and four orange wedges. Maya quickly divides the fruit onto four plates. Her plate has **four pieces**. Arun’s plate has **two**. Leela and Dev each have **one**. Dev looks from his plate to Maya’s. **DEV** That doesn’t look equal. **MAYA** But everyone got some. Leela counts the pieces aloud. **LEELA** Four, two, one and one. Arun adds them on his fingers. **ARUN** That still makes eight. The fruit pieces begin to GLOW. A cheerful animated **NUMBER EIGHT** pops out of the picnic basket. Eight small lights blink across its body. **NUMBER EIGHT** You have eight pieces altogether — but they are not shared equally. A playful animated **NUMBER FOUR** springs up beside the plates. **NUMBER FOUR** And there are four friends! Number Eight looks at Number Four. **NUMBER EIGHT** So how many pieces should each friend receive? The children think. Number Eight separates into **eight glowing counters**, each hovering above one fruit piece. Number Four creates four glowing circles — one around each plate. **NUMBER FOUR** Let’s share them one at a time. The first fruit piece floats from Maya’s plate to Maya. The second moves to Arun. The third moves to Leela. The fourth moves to Dev. Each child now has one piece. **NUMBER EIGHT** That is one piece for each friend. The remaining four pieces rise into the air. They move around the circle again — One to Maya. One to Arun. One to Leela. One to Dev. Each plate now holds **two fruit pieces**. The glowing counters join into four pairs. **LEELA** Two for each of us! **ARUN** Four groups of two. Number Four points to the identical plates. **NUMBER FOUR** Four equal groups. Number Eight spins happily. **NUMBER EIGHT** And two plus two plus two plus two still equals eight! Maya compares all four plates. **MAYA** Now it really is fair. The animated numbers shrink into small glowing symbols beside the picnic basket: **8 ÷ 4 = 2** The children pick up their fruit. **DEV** Equal picnic? Everyone raises a fruit piece. **ALL FOUR CHILDREN** Equal picnic! ### OVERHEAD SHOT The four children sit evenly around the blanket. At the centre are four identical plates, each containing exactly **two fruit pieces**. The glowing equation shines beside them: **8 ÷ 4 = 2** **FADE OUT.** **THE END** **LEELA** Two for each of us! # THE SHADOW KING’S MARK **FADE IN:** ### EXT. MOUNTAIN FORTRESS – AUCTION COURTYARD – OVERCAST DAY Cold wind sweeps through a vast stone courtyard high above the mountains. Dark royal banners snap against the pale sky. NOBLES from rival houses watch from stepped galleries while ARMOURED GUARDS surround a raised auction platform. At the centre, an AUCTIONEER opens an iron chest. Inside lies a cracked black ring marked with a crowned serpent. **AUCTIONEER** The final relic of the fallen Shadow King. Among the nobles stands **LORD VAREK**, 40s, powerful and arrogant. At the rear of the crowd, **KAEL**, 35, watches beneath a weathered hood. Varek steps onto the platform. **VAREK** The Shadow King is dead. He takes the ring from the chest. The ring burns RED against his hand. Varek cries out and drops it. The relic rolls across the stone courtyard— —and stops at Kael’s boots. The crowd turns. Kael bends and picks it up. The red glow changes instantly to deep violet. A matching royal mark appears across the back of his hand. The nobles react with shock. **NOBLEWOMAN** The Shadow King’s mark. Varek stares at Kael. **VAREK** That bloodline was destroyed. Kael slowly removes his hood. **KAEL** You destroyed my house. He slips the ring onto his finger. **KAEL (CONT'D)** Not its heir. Varek points furiously at him. **VAREK** Seize him! Four guards draw their swords and surround Kael. Kael remains still. Clouds pass across the sun. The guards’ shadows stretch unnaturally across the courtyard. The shadows rise and coil around their sword arms. The guards are forced to their knees. Gasps ripple through the galleries. Varek backs toward the platform. Kael walks forward. With every step, his shadow grows larger across the fortress wall. It takes the shape of an ancient crowned warrior. The royal banners bearing Varek’s crest tear loose in the wind. One by one, the nobles lower their heads. Varek remains standing alone. **VAREK** This fortress belongs to me. Kael climbs onto the platform. He closes the iron chest with one hand. **KAEL** Then enjoy it while you can. ### FINAL SHOT Kael stands above the courtyard with the glowing ring raised before him. His enormous crowned shadow covers the fortress wall. The guards and nobles kneel below, while Varek stands isolated beneath his fallen banners. **KAEL** The Shadow King has returned. **CUT TO BLACK.** **THE END**
# THE BROKEN-WINDOW ALIBI **Crime Procedural / Murder Mystery** **FADE IN:** ### INT. ARORA MANSION – STUDY – MORNING Heavy rain lashes the balcony doors of a luxurious private study. A BUSINESSMAN lies motionless beside his desk. His chair is overturned. Papers cover the floor. A fallen lamp casts a harsh pool of light across the body. The balcony window is shattered. Beyond it, broken glass glitters across the rain-soaked balcony. **INSPECTOR RANA**, 42, controlled and observant, enters with **SUB-INSPECTOR MEERA**, 30. At the study entrance stand the victim’s frightened WIFE, teenage DAUGHTER and younger brother, **VIKRAM ARORA**, 38. Vikram points urgently toward the balcony. **VIKRAM** The study was locked. The killer must have broken in through the window. Rana studies the room without answering. He looks from the body— —to the overturned chair— —to the shattered window. He crouches beside the broken frame. ### INSERT – SHATTERED WINDOW Most of the glass lies outside on the balcony. Only a few fragments remain inside the study. Rana lifts one shard with a gloved hand. **RANA** If the window was broken from outside— Meera looks at the glass on the balcony. **MEERA** —most of it should have fallen inside. Vikram’s confidence flickers. Rana steps through the broken opening. ### EXT. STUDY BALCONY – CONTINUOUS Rainwater runs across the stone floor. Several muddy footprints lead out from the study. Rana follows them carefully. He stops at the balcony edge. There are no footprints approaching from outside. ### INT. STUDY – CONTINUOUS Rana traces the muddy trail back into the room. The first complete footprint begins beside the victim’s desk. ### LOW ANGLE – FOOTPRINT TRAIL The prints clearly move from the body toward the broken window. Rana points along their direction. **RANA** No one entered through the balcony. He turns toward the family. **RANA (CONT'D)** Someone walked from the desk to the window— He gestures toward the glass outside. **RANA (CONT'D)** —and broke it from inside. The victim’s wife covers her mouth. The daughter looks toward Vikram. **VIKRAM** Anyone could have left those prints. Rana notices dark mud around the sole of Vikram’s right boot. His gaze drops. Vikram quickly shifts his foot backward. Rana kneels. ### INSERT – VIKRAM’S BOOT The sole carries a triangular tread pattern with one damaged corner. Meera places a transparent evidence sheet over the clearest footprint near the desk. ### INSERT – MATCHING PATTERNS The damaged corner aligns perfectly. Meera looks up at Vikram. **MEERA** An exact match. Vikram steps toward the doorway. Two CONSTABLES immediately block his path. The family recoils from him. **VIKRAM** I entered after they found the body. Rana rises, holding the footprint sheet beside the boot. **RANA** You told us you never entered this study after the rain began. Vikram searches for an answer. None comes. Rana advances slowly. Behind Vikram, rain pours through the shattered window. **RANA (CONT'D)** You staged the break-in. Rana points toward the body. **RANA (CONT'D)** Then you walked to the balcony, broke the glass from inside and locked the room behind you. Vikram’s face drains of colour. **VIKRAM** Inspector— Rana raises the matching evidence sheet. **RANA** The storm washed the balcony. He looks down at Vikram’s boots. **RANA (CONT'D)** But it did not wash away your mistake. ### FINAL SHOT Rana stands in the foreground holding the matching footprint evidence. Vikram is trapped beside the shattered window, with two constables blocking his escape. Behind them, the shocked family watches as rain falls across the balcony and broken glass shines at Vikram’s feet. **CUT TO BLACK.** **THE END**
